" Defiant Stand "

This image was done for use as part of my forthcoming Cybertown Star Trek Quiz.

The air tense with in the hull of the Defiant. Those not working at their stations, gaze at the main veiwscreen stunned at number of Jem'hadar vessels they are about to encounter. The walls of the wormhole crackle and snap with beams of energy streaking around the warship and along this spacial tubeway.

The violence of energy in the wormhole, seemingly echo the anger of those who created it, for the Prophets of Bajor are happy with the way events have happened in the linear dimension.

The crew await the battle to begin, some mutterly silently to themselves prays to their gods and deities , in anticipation of the fate they know awaits them.

They know, no ship can help them, for they were lucky to survive the huge battle before. They know many of their friends, relatives and family have gone before them in efforts to halt the takeover of Alpha Quadrant by the Dominion & the rest of the fleet are moping up the remaining enemy that may threaten the re-take of Deep Space Nine.

For the crew of the U.S.S. Defiant know they must take a stand here, no matter what the cost.

NOTES:

• This is a primary a 2d work hence it is located in my 2d Section of my new work areas.

• 2 plain scenes ( just the ships in a black scene ) were rendered in Bryce 4. One of the Defiant and the other of the Dominion Jem'Hadar and Cardassian ships.

• Ships are models from The Star Trek Mesh Collection .

• Stars done with the Glitterato filter by Flaming Pear via Paintshop Pro.

• The Wormhole and Energy Streaks were created via the following Flaming Pear filters - Swirl, Twist and Glare.

• I used what is called Layers to make this image where section / parts of an image were made on different layerss or levels one atop the other.

• Title done via Paintshop Pro.
